for this auction . After 23 of
bearmaking I am retiring from the bear world.
Although I have got nominations and prizes between 1993 and 2003 I consider my work as a "bear teacher" more valuable. I am glad my book "A bear of my own" as well as my CD "Teddies, bears and allt that..." could help bearmakers all over the world to improve their bearmaking and find more joy in their hobby. In the last years I spent most time in my bearmaking online school and taught how to design and make classical teddybears as well as realistic bears and dogs. Now my students were those to get the prizes and I am very proud of them. |

After 23 years of bearmaking I am
retiring now. I will not make bears any longer and don't teach classes. Nevertheless my CD-Rom "Teddies, bears and allt that..." . will still be available from me.
In many years of bearmaking I had
lots of contacts and made friends all over the world. The bear shows
brought me to the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland, to England and
even to the USA and everywhere I made wonderful experiences I would
never want to miss. It is time to say good bye now, but I never will
forget the lucky moments in the bear world. |

My very last online class now came to and end too. This was a class for very experienced bearmakers to design and make a realistic dog of their own choice. As a special highlight we met for a weekend to give the dogs the last finishing touches and of course had a lot of fun.
